JT’s proximity to LA made it a well visited National Park. Though it is not as highly acclaimed as the stars of NPS such as its in-State cousin, Yosemite, it is unique and refreshingly accessible. Below Sunset viewing at Keys View
Ryan Peak
Distance: 3 mile RT
Elevation Gain: 1000+ feet
A short and moderately steep trail afforded a panoramic view of the Park and deeply rewarding.

Cholla Cactus Nature Trail
Distance: 0.25 mile loop
This short nature trail is located at southern part of JT where the namesake trees gave way to arid desert except this patch of ground that features this unique plant.
Arch Rock
Distance: 1 mile RT
Barker Dam
Distance 1.5 mile Loop
This is probably the Park’s most popular walking path. Located in central part of JT, it is a lollipop loop features rock formation, a man made dam (dried up), petroglyphs and Joshua trees.
