Burroughs Mountain* (Rainier)

DSC03072

Date: 10/3/2015

Location: Sunrise, MRNP

Distance: 7 miles (Loop – return via Sunrise Rim trail)

Elevation Gain: 2600 ft

Highest Point: 7200

This is the premier trail in Sunrise area.  Because Sunrise road ends at 6300 ft, hikers are thrust onto alpine zone within first few hundred yards of ambulation.  With Mt. Rainier reigning dominant to the north, big views are omnipresent.
