This moderate trail leads to the breath taking view of Chisos Mountain Ranges and its surrounding canyons and desert. Its name was derived from the legend of a gold mine at the peak (above) that was exploited by the early Spanish explorers, and reclaimed by Comanche Indians who killed every last miners and sealed the area from any further exploits.
