As with all our other hikes in Berner Oberland, our journey started with a scenic train ride – above, the town Interlaken in the background. Below, Schynege Platte train station and the TH.
The trail wasted no time in dispensing splendid scenery. Below, cow pastures are common in Swiss Alps.

The climb was gradual but persistent
Sagistalsee Mountain Lake
Ahead Manndlenen Mountain Lodge around midpoint of the hike.
After replenishing our water and having a couple cold drinks, we proceeded uphill again.
After the stiff climb, a ridge was reached offering a temporary respite
And the highest point of the trail- Faulhorn Summit is now visible
One quick breather before tackling Faulhorn Summit
We had snacks at Fauhlhorn Summit’s Lodge – the highest full service lodging in Europe.
And enjoy the panorama view from the summit
Rest of the trail was downhill
